Welcome to MVPlayer (“the App”). The App is published by Morin Innovation (“we”, “us”, “our”), a sole proprietorship based in Niort, France. By downloading or using the App, you agree to these terms.
MVPlayer is provided to you on a non-exclusive, non-transferable basis for your personal or internal business use. You may install and use the App on any device that you own or control and that is signed in to your App Store account, subject to Apple’s App Store terms.
Playback features are free, with no advertising and no usage tracking. The App offers an optional one-time in-app purchase, Full Access ($4.99 USD, or local equivalent), which permanently unlocks Premium features (currently: password-locked kiosk mode and the head-tracking experience). There is no subscription. Purchases are processed by Apple and refunds are handled in accordance with Apple’s App Store policies.
Premium features may be sampled for a limited time (currently 20 seconds) before requiring the Full Access purchase. We may adjust the trial duration in future versions without notice.
The App can open and play media files that you supply — from your device’s file system, your photo library, or HTTP/HLS streaming URLs you provide. You are solely responsible for ensuring that you have the right to play that content. We do not host, distribute, or monitor third-party content.
The App registers the mvplayer:// URL scheme. Calls to this
scheme will pass the requested URL to the App’s playback engine. You are
responsible for the content you launch via this scheme.
MVPlayer, its source code, design, branding, and assets are the property of Morin Innovation and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to extract the App’s source code, except to the extent expressly permitted by applicable law.
The App is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, compatible with every file format, or fit for any particular purpose.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Morin Innovation shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the App. Our total liability shall in no event exceed the amount you paid for the App (if any) in the six (6) months preceding the claim.
MVPlayer and the MVPlayer logo are trademarks of Morin Innovation. All other trademarks referenced in the App or on this website are the property of their respective owners. References to third-party devices, formats, or companies (for example: HEVC, MV-HEVC, Canon, Blackmagic Design, GoPro, Insta360, Ricoh Theta) are made for descriptive purposes only and do not imply endorsement.
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be indicated by an updated “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the App after such changes constitutes acceptance.
These terms are governed by the laws of France, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Niort, France, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights that may apply in your country of residence.
